For many industrial CPU boards an extreme low heat production is more important than a very high clock rate. Only this way, fanless or even hermetically encapsulated systems can be realised.

The newly developed ISA96 V8/103 was specifically designed for such conditions. It allows to operate 500MHz class systems with less than 5W of power consumption, without leaving the narrow price frame of Low-Cost applications.

The equipment of this CPU board is attractive, unless its low price. In addition to its firmly soldered 512MB main memory, the ISA96 V8/103 features an integrated graphics controller, an Ethernet controller, a watchdog, a FlashDisc, drive connecions, and diverse interfaces for peripheral units.

Because CompactFlash modules may be used as mass storage, and thanks to the multiple possibilities for the connection of flat displays, it is ideally suited for Embedded applications. We also strived to longterm availibitity of the component.
