By the end of 2020 DpuScan will no longer come with Abbyy FineReader OCR engine. FineReader OCR engine will be replaced by Tesseract OCR engine. In the world of DpuScan, Tesseract offers more flexibility and will enable DpuScan to make scanning with OCR much faster.
It will be easy to change all existing scanning profiles to use the new OCR engine. Creating new scanning profiles will be as easy as with the old engine.
